Our Therapists

I believe in the power of showing up and providing genuine support in a positive, non judgmental, and comfortable environment. Regardless of what you may be suffering from (anxiety, depression, family issues, coming out, a life change, breakup, a gender or sexual identity transition) we can start the process of healing and problem solving through therapy.
Taking the first step to engage in therapy isn't easy, but it is brave and will be worth it. I offer a range of clinical services to adults of all ages, youth, children, and couples or romantic partnerships.
Areas of special interest include:
-
Trauma recovery and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder)
-
Cognitive behavioral approach to anxiety and depression
-
Life transitions, building independence, finding community away from home, creating life balance
-
Emotion regulation work
-
Behavioral related challenges for children and families
-
LGBTQ+ gender identity, including transition services
-
Therapy for couples and relationship units
l look forward to scheduling a 15 minute phone consultation to establish what that work will look like. I also have an active teletherapy practice and can schedule video sessions in MD, VA, and DC.

Art Therapist
“We do not see things as they are; We see them as we are.” – Anaïs Nin.
I am proud of you for taking this step in your journey. Maybe you struggle to express your thoughts or feelings, or your child has emotional/behavioral challenges that are hard to understand. It could be that you’re experiencing anxiety or depression, a life transition/adjustment, or feeling the effects of past trauma. I imagine your goal is to live a fulfilled and happy life, our work together can be an integral part of that process. Let's discuss where you'd like to see yourself and utilize proven clinical methods to help get you there. Now is the ideal time.
I am a licensed counselor and art therapist. Art therapy is a non intrusive form of therapy that can help people of all ages express difficult thoughts and emotions. By drawing or visually expressing your feelings while talking, even if you can't label or identify your emotions, we will have a starting point with which to address and treat your challenges.
I specialize in helping children, teens and adults work through many complicated emotions and challenges. Using art therapy, cognitive models, and strength based therapies we can develop an eclectic and individualized plan to address your needs. I am excited to provide a safe and comfortable environment while guiding you through this healing process.
