Chesapeake Behavioral Health Services' Approach to Therapy
Elizabeth Harring, LCSW-C created this group practice because she's lived and worked here in Baltimore, and has seen improvement in the lives of those having access to quality mental health services in our city.
Our therapists combine for more than 50 years experience, in providing therapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and families in diverse communities. We are driven by helping people feel better, feel heard, feel accepted, and feel at peace.
We are trauma certified therapists - guided by training in cognitive behavioral, solution focused, attachment, and mindfulness therapies. We are allies to, or members of, the LGBTQIA+ community and passionately committed to providing affirmative care; guided by WPATH standards.
Our therapists have a great deal of experience with individuals and families connecting with their sexual and gender identities, or couples trying to communicate more effectively.
We work with people suffering from depression, anxiety, substance use, or life changes. As well as couples trying to navigate relational challenges, or neurodivergent clients seeking support and understanding.
Working together, in a safe place where you can share your feelings, your challenges and your vulnerabilities, we will take the time to get to know your story, and create new paths towards self-care and confidence.
While we may live in Baltimore, we provide telehealth therapy services throughout the state of Maryland, from the comfort of your computer or phone.

We believe that therapy work is rooted in social justice. We strive to center, amplify, and attend to the voices and experiences of marginalized groups and individuals.
