I believe in the power of showing up and providing genuine support in a positive, non judgmental, and comfortable environment. Regardless of what you may be suffering from (anxiety, depression, family issues, coming out, a life change, breakup, a gender or sexual identity transition) we can start the process of healing and problem solving through therapy.


Taking the first step to engage in therapy isn't easy, but it is brave and will be worth it. I offer a range of clinical services to adults of all ages, youth, children, and couples or romantic partnerships.

 My therapeutic style is interactive and easygoing, gentle and direct. My goal is to help you see all the factors that affect your situation, including the effects of oppressive social structures. I’m passionate about working with queer and trans people, and those recovering from stigmatizing religious backgrounds.

I've worked in human services for over fourteen years, and my treatment approach is engaged and collaborative. I am experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic techniques.


Therapy is about healing and recovery, about rediscovering meaning and finding purpose. My mission is to create a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental space. I work with you to develop specific skills that will apply to your unique background and personality, and will have concrete value in your life. My practice is trauma-informed, anti-racist, and LGBTQIA affirming.

You may have noticed a change in your mood, or your ability to manage daily stressors. You’re adjusting to new life transitions, changes in relationships, or moving from home. I provide a space for you to be heard, to collaborate with you, and better understand your unique strengths and challenges. I specialize in treating adolescents, youth and young adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or stressor-related issues. I use evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, with a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens.

My approach acknowledges the strengths and intersectional challenges faced by clients who experience institutionalized and overt stigma and prejudice due to their race, ethnicity, gender identity, and/ or sexual orientation. I offer a culturally sensitive and inclusive space for everyone and explore unique outlets and opportunities for growth and healing.

As a non-binary, queer clinician - I’m passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ people who want to improve their lives, work through deeper issues, and live authentically.

My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and collaborative and my clinical specialties include working with clients who are exploring gender expression, identity, or transition, sexuality, relationships and attachment, and neurodivergent identities. We’ll work together to increase self-acceptance, improve your relationships, and build self-worth. We’ll explore ways to identify feelings, stressors, strengths, and challenges, while cultivating new skills and practices to help you live well. I practice from an anti-racist, person-centered, trauma-informed, and de- pathologizing perspective. I am a sex-positive clinician affirming of sexual diversity, fluidity, polyamory, monogamy, kink, BDSM, sexuality professionals, and other relational styles and identities.

MELISSA COLE (she/her/hers) LCSW-C

I believe everyone deserves a safe space to reflect on life experiences, to express themselves, and to talk about things that are important to them. I believe this place needs to provide encouragement, feedback, and tools to help each person become empowered to further their personal development and healing.  The core of my practice focuses on helping those who've been impacted by multiple losses, broken relationships, violent life events, unstable home lives, systemic oppression, or interpersonal violence. I also provide clinical services for secondary trauma, vicarious trauma and/or compassion fatigue.  

 While you know yourself better than anyone, your experience gives you the courage to embrace new change. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
